Continuous Electric Desalination (EDI)

Summary

A pure water refining technology that combines ion exchange resin and selective ion exchange membrane, and utilizes a direct current electric field to achieve continuous ion migration removal and resin electrochemical regeneration. No need to use acidic or alkaline chemical agents for regeneration.

 

Specialty

Continuous operation regeneration: Under the action of a direct current electric field, ions are selectively migrated and removed, and the resin is regenerated simultaneously, which can produce high-purity water continuously for 24 hours.
No need for chemical regeneration: completely eliminating the problems of acid-base regeneration and waste liquid treatment required by traditional ion exchange, the operation is more environmentally friendly and safe.
Low operating cost: eliminates the cost of regeneration agents and waste liquid treatment, mainly consuming electricity.
Stable water quality: It can stably produce ultrapure water with a resistivity of up to 15-18 M Ω· cm (25 ° C).
Easy to operate and maintain: With a high degree of automation, daily maintenance is relatively simple.

 

Purpose

Mainly used for further deep desalination and refining of water produced by reverse osmosis (RO), it is the core unit for preparing ultrapure water and widely used in:
Electronics industry: Cleaning water for semiconductors and integrated circuits.
