Product Introduction – Ultrapure Water Products

Degassing membrane device (MDG)

Summary

A physical degassing technology that utilizes hydrophobic hollow fiber membranes and vacuum (or carrier gas) to efficiently remove dissolved gases such as dissolved oxygen (DO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) from water through diffusion principle.

Specialty

Efficient degassing: It can significantly reduce dissolved oxygen (which can be reduced to ppb level) and carbon dioxide in water.
No chemical agents: No need to add deoxidizers (such as sulfites), avoiding water pollution and increased operating costs.
Low energy consumption: The main energy consumption is the vacuum pump (or a small amount of carrier gas), which significantly reduces the energy consumption compared to thermal degassing.
Compact structure and easy operation: modular design, small footprint, fast startup, and simple operation and maintenance.
High stability: Stable operation, not significantly affected by water temperature fluctuations (thermal degassing effect is greatly affected by water temperature).

Purpose

Mainly used in systems with strict requirements for dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide content in water:
Ultra pure water system: As a pre-treatment or post-treatment unit, it protects subsequent EDI, mixed bed and other equipment, preventing resin oxidation and conductivity increase caused by CO2.
Semiconductor industry: Process Cooling Water (PCW), Ultra Pure Water (UPW) systems.
Pharmaceutical industry: injection water (WFI), purified water (PW) systems.
Food and beverage industry: Deoxygenation and preservation of process water.
Other: Industrial processes that require strict control of dissolved gases.
