Product Introduction – Ultrapure Water Products

Ultraviolet Device (TOC-UV)

Summary

A device that uses high-energy 185nm ultraviolet (UV) radiation to directly oxidize and decompose organic matter (TOC) in water into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O), or oxidize it into low molecular weight substances that are easily removed by subsequent precision processing units (such as EDI, mixed bed). Mainly used for the removal of trace organic compounds in ultrapure water systems.

Specialty

Efficient decomposition of TOC: 185nm UV light can directly decompose organic molecules and generate active free radicals (such as · OH), achieving efficient TOC removal.
Physical and chemical processes: No or minimal chemical agents are required (such as a small amount of hydrogen peroxide), and there is no risk of secondary pollution.
Improving water purity: effectively reducing the TOC content in ultrapure water and significantly increasing the water resistance rate of water production.
Relatively easy to maintain: The core component is the ultraviolet lamp tube, and maintenance mainly focuses on regular replacement of the lamp tube.
Continuous online processing: can be integrated into ultra pure water circulation systems to achieve continuous control of TOC.

Purpose

Mainly used for online removal and precise control of total organic carbon (TOC) in ultrapure water circulation systems, ensuring that the final water production meets extremely high standards, especially in critical applications such as:
Semiconductor manufacturing industry: water for chip cleaning and wafer manufacturing processes.
Pharmaceutical industry: Water for Injection (WFI) systems.
High end display panel industry: water for TFT-LCD, OLED and other processes.
Precision Analysis Laboratory: Ultra pure water for analysis.
